In summers months, HDLAC sponsors a visual art contest for area children. A theme is announced each week and drawings are submitted to HDLAC. Prizes are given each week and at the end of the summer. | |||

Mother's Day Art from the Heart |
Come and create a special Mother's Day gift at the Arts Council. Free to area children. | ||

Lead Deadwood High School Visual Art Exhibit |
Art submitted for the West River Art Show by Lead Deadwood High School visual art students will be on display including pastels, photography, sculpting, watercolor, sketching, mosaics, etc. | |||

Quilt Show |
HDLAC hosts a quilt exhibit every fall for approximatley 6 weeks. The event coincide with the Great Black Hills Quilt Escape. | ||

Cheesecake Sampler |
Every October HDLAC hosts its annual Cheesecake Sampler. Cheesecakes are donated each year and residents tantalize their tastebuds by eating all the cheesecake they can handle. | ||

Christmas Art from the Heart |
Area children are invited to create their own craft item to give to that special someone for Christmas. Free to all children. | ||

Christmas Show |
A community Christmas show featuring the talents of local residents. | ||
